New Zealand's JEKYLL To Release Debut Album Next Week
November 11, 2004New Zealand "nu-thrash" band JEKYLL will release their debut album, "The Fine Line", on November 20. JEKYLL have been recording the album since early in 2004 and a sample track from the album can be downloaded from the group's official web site.
Produced by James Dunlop in his home studio, "The Fine Line" combines "the de-tuned riffs of KORN, the '80s thrash influences of MEGADETH and METALLICA and the odd time changes of SYSTEM OF A DOWN and MESHUGGAH with a healthy dose of melody and the unique vocals of Shaun Garea," according to a press release. The first video from the band, "The Fine Line" was filmed in Christchurch three weeks ago and is currently being edited for release on NZ television.
JEKYLL are: Shaun Garea (THUNDERSTORM) on vocals, James Dunlop on guitar, Richard Smith on bass and Darren Abrams (ex-LONG WAY HOME) on drums.
